professional knife maker alike.
Damascus is an excellent steel
for making custom knives. Damascus is notable for
holding a better edge, being more durable and
harder to break than regular stainless steel
most knifes are made of. And, of coarse,
damascus is beautiful. A damascus steel
knife is one of the few
truly practical tools that can also qualify as a work of
art.
These damascus knife blade blanks are full pattern
welded steel [1095 high carbon + 15N20 Swedish
carbon/nickel alloy] folded in multiple
layers and forged by hand. They are selectively hardened
in brine and
tempered in oil [56/58 Rc].

Birdseye Damascus: These damascus steel knife blade
blanks
are [EN-45 + mild] with 512 layers, hardened and
tempered. Each one is hand forged, roughed-out, and factory
edged. For hobbyist and professional knife maker
alike. They are are approximate [.15" thick] and will
hold up well under hard use. Each of these one of a kind
blades is made of full length [birdseye] pattern welded
steel.
