"As I sort through my wood to find the perfect piece for a handle, I am amazed at the amount of quality material that has come from you, especially in my [native] Australian timbers. I just wanted to thank you for that contribution to my efforts. Also, yours is the only wood that is consistently dry, flat, and well prepared, and that saves me loads of time!"

Wood Reference Guide

Borassus flabellifer [Black Palm, Black Palmyra, Palm Wood]

You don't often find any palm wood as dense as what we have available here. The hardest material comes from the outside edge of the oldest and slowest growing trees. Our special black palm wood has a specific gravity of [1.07] which makes it an ironwood. The black bristles are densely packed. Knife scale sets are specially milled for maximum impact.
